A key UIL State Executive Committee meeting will be held on Wednesday morning that could impact the future of the Faith Family basketball program for this coming season.

Dallas Faith Family will take the stand to hear their punishment after being found guilty for recruiting violations, withholding information and having a lack of transparency regarding 13 players who transferred to the school during the off-season after former De Soto head coach Andrea Robinson was hired.

The 13 players being questioned, were all teammates of the same AAU organization.

Robinson and assistant coaches Kadi Creel and Jordan Jones were also found guilty and will be taking part in the meeting.

An additional DEC meeting will also take place to determine eligibility for the 13 players that transferred into the program, as four players are included in the ESPN top 100 players.

The UIL has come down harsh on teams with similar penalties as Faith Family’s case.

Back in 2022, Duncanville girls’ basketball team was barred from the postseason and former coach LaJeanna Howard was suspended.

Cathy Self-Morgan was issued a three-year suspension, the maximum penalty that can be issued, from the UIL for recruiting violations back in 2019.

Last year, Faith Family did not receive any transfers into the program after a 16-16 season.
