Five new programs enter UIL alignment

A total of five new teams join the UIL ranks for the 2021-22 season, as the new alignments for the upcoming season were released.

Katy Jordan will enter 5A competition and will compete in 19-5A as College Station headlines the district.

Two new programs in 4A come in as El Paso YWLA is grouped with 1-4A, which is now a seven-team district. Uplift Williams Prep in Dallas becomes the sixth team in 10-4A.

South San Antonio West, the second school in South San Antonio ISD, will be in 27-3A to add a ninth team in the district. Alamo IDEA College Prep puts 31-3A at the maximum amount of teams at 11 and, pending numbers for the upcoming season, will have the district split into zones for the upcoming season.

There are no new changes for 6A, 2A and 1A classifications.
