After 14 years at the helm of one of the top Houston area teams, Deborah Mize has been promoted to assistant athletic director at Fort Bend ISD.
Mize, who led Hightower to two state appearances in 2010 and 2019, compiled a 394-101 record at the program won eight district titles and led the Lay Canes to the second consecutive regional tournament appearance.
Coach Mize will be stepping down from her position and has been named one of the new assistant athletic directors in Fort Bend ISD. Coach Jasmine Brewer, Hightower Alum, will be the new interim coach for the upcoming season. Congrats to both ladies!!!!
