The University Interscholastic League medical advisory board met on Friday morning in regards to the COVID-19 return-to-play protocol.
Athletes who test positive must be cleared by a physician before returning to their respective team.
Face coverings are required outside the line of play along with temperature checks, social distancing and no sharing of food or water.
The UIL also instituted 50 percent capacity for stadiums for the fall sport session and coaching staffs cleaning and sanitizing during practice.
School districts ultimately decide when their respective team can start or stop play or practices.
