A pair of select teams in West Texas claimed the highest honor at the Super 64 national tournament in Mansfield at Fieldhouse USA on Tuesday and Wednesday.
A total of 352 teams in 10 bracket divisions make up the tournament field.
A notable team name for Panhandle hoop heads, Hoop 10 Storm, claimed a national title in the UCONN division, topping an El Paso select side that featured all incoming seniors on the roster, 41-31.
Hoop 10 storm features two Lubbock Cooper standouts in Bella Sipowicz and Hannah Zientek.
Another familiar name to Panhandle basketball fans, DC Queens West Texas Blue, also claimed a national title, defeating an AAU team from Minnesota, 62-49 in the Lousiville Division.
The DC Queens teams features Gruver standout Camryn Armes and the Canyon duo of Taylor Thomas and Abree Winfrey.
