On Thursday, ESPN released an updated Class of 2020 updated rankings list for the top 100 players in the nation and the top name in the state is a familiar name.

Deja Kelly, who won state leading Duncanville, was tabbed Gatorade Player of the Year in Texas and has signed with North Carolina, rose up on the recruiting boards to No. 10 in the nation by espnW, rising seven spots in the poll and is the top ranked recruit in the state.

Argyle’s Rhyle McKinney has been one of the main players in the state excluding Kelly, as she holds a 136-23 record in her four seasons as a Lady Eagle along with scoring more than 2,000 points in her career. The SMU signee is ranked 97 in the national recruit rankings.

Elsewhere, the Irving MacArthur duo of Sarah Andrews and Hannah Gusters fell to No. 12 and No. 16 respectively. Plano’s Jordyn Merrit fell four spots to No. 31 as she was sidelined from the season with an ACL injury.

Sahara Jones impressed scouts at the state tournament with back-to-back solid performances to boost her recruiting stock, rising 17 spots to No. 75 in the player rankings.

Houston Westside’s Fatou Samb rose up two spots to No. 51.
