The western half of the Metroplex and far West Texas will be more open than in recent years, as DFW teams will look to continue on with the regional stranglehold.

South Grand Prairie return a solid core, including 6-0 junior forward Achiel Tac but will be young in key guard areas as they graduate heavy in the respective areas.

Fort Worth Boswell will lose the pure-scoring ability of Kaia Robertson but return the scoring duo of Chloe Mann and Miraya Perkins.

Highland Park move up to 6A and look to make a splash in the district, being grouped with Irving ISD and Richardson ISD.

6-6A will be the district race to watch with Coppell returning a key starter in including Julianna “Jules” LaMendola.

Maddie Cox will be a key player to watch for Flower Mound this coming season. The additional guard play of Abbie Boutilier will be pivotal to establish an inside-out game for the Lady Panthers.

Out west, Frenship look to build off their playoff run as they bring back a solid core including a transfer in from Idalou, Gabby Morales. El Paso Franklin will highlight the 1-6A field in what will be a wide-open race for 6A supremacy in the Sun City.
